THE CONSEQUENCE OF BEAUTY.

There was a time when I was a child and people would smile and wave at me.

However, back then I was only two feet away from the ground.

"What a beauty", they would say aloud.

Then they'd turn to my older brother and say,"this one is going to be a little heart breaker".

Although we would take these passing comments as compliments, we never really understood what either of them meant.

As a child, I spent hours making ugly faces in the mirror.

These were my faded pictures of the past.

However, the years ahead painted a picture that was so much clearer.

Who would have known, sixteen years later my brother and I would  become the most popular fools in school?

Yes, I said fools.

See, when you're beautiful everything just happens to be given to you. Everything just seems too easy, almost too good to be true.

The cutest boys in school wanted to take me to the prom.

Every day of the week, my brother had a new senior on his sophomore arm.

Boys arm wrestled for only, a few moments of my time.

Girls fought for my brother's attention.

That's right! We had it all. We had the prefect teenage life.

Faded pictures of the past.

Ten years later, all I can ask for is a relationship that's built to last.

My brother is finally done, " taking out the trash" and he just wants one woman who is sophisticated and can make him laugh.

Nine times out of ten, the men I date only mistake my beauty for stupidity.

Nine times out of ten, my brother is the one being accused of infidelity.

Guilty or not, his beauty is to blame.

Stupidity or smart, all of my guy friends seem to be motivated by one thing.

They will tell you anything, just to get into your brain.

My brother says his girlfriend has him on a short leash.

They will do anything just to relieve tension from the brain. Meanwhile,  he will do anything just to relieve tension from his chain.

Ask me who is to blame, and I will say beauty is to blame.
