Boom! I heard a crashing sound coming from outside of my house.
What could that be? I questioned, with a puzzled expression on my face.
Boom! Boom! The sound was nearing closer. What in the world was that?
Where could that sound be coming from? I questioned as my heart began to race.
Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom! The sound was nearing closer to the house.
The sound had been so loud that it blew one of my back windows out.
In a state of panic, I hid underneath my bed.
Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom! The front door flew open.
I scurried out from underneath the bed. However, in my haste I bumped my head.
Everything went black and I woke up to a forehead that I could only assume was blue.
Oh, did I forget to mention that the lights blew.
I also forgot to mention that I canceled a date earlier that evening, solely for two.
It was a blind date initiated by one of my good friends named Peggie Sue.
The last date that I had been on was three years ago, sometime in June. Now, back to the Boom! Boom! Boom!
I grabbed my head and woke up to a strange man standing over me.
I was startled. Although, he was handsome I wasn't too thrilled about having company.
He extended his hand and said, "Hi my name is Gary".
Gary? I asked with a puzzled expression on my face.
Yes, he replied. I'm the guy that Peggie Sue spoke to you about; she set us up on a blind date!
I know you canceled on me, however Peggie and I thought that you could use some company.
What! How did you know where I lived?
Peggie Sue drove me here.
Honestly, she's right outside. With such an old engine like that, her car is kind of hard to hide.
So, that's where that loud noise was coming from?
Yes ma'am, he replied.
To my surprise, to be in his company was a delight. He went from "Yes ma'am," to preparing a home cooked dinner for two next to a candle light.
Boy, oh boy, what a night.
