She chose him, not because she was in desperate need of a man but because he was a true man who had vision, a few goals, and a plan; one of which she was able to, both, compliment and comprehend.
She chose him, not because his checking and savings account complimented his credit score but because he was rare and genuine. He had showed her things that she hadn't seen before.
She chose him, not for the size of his rims or his tims but because he had integrity, class, and he was his own man whether he was within or outside of the company of his friends.
She chose him, because he mirrored her drive. He never competed with her, instead he admired her hustle and she admired his.
She stood by her choice for several years, not because they had kids or because she was afraid of the social stigma surrounding failed marriages' but because he was the reason for her smile, he played a prominent role in her past, and he planned on sticking around for a while. But most importantly, he lifted her up by holding her down.
